This is the battle hardy operating guide of MYDEALGARAGE.com

        Decide what your objective is. Objectives can be split up into two main ones and they are Commercial and Social.

You could then sub-categorise these into your preference, provided below are some examples :

Commercial : Looking for distributor, job, new products to distribute, etc

Social : Dating, search for badminton or basketball friends to have a game, organise a group of people to chill out to have a beer.

We are continuously adding free new applications or tools as we call them, to value add to the community so that they can meet their objectives. As of the 25th

 of November 2008, we have the following applications/tools for your use and some examples these tools may be used to successfully meet your objectives. If the number of users increase sizably, we will probably hold a monthly competition on the best few Blogs, Articles, Forums, Videos and Pictures based on votes and management decision. The winning entry will be highlighted, featured and our members notified. Why is this important for you? The most important reason will be that it gives you or your company maximum exposure to our thousands of readers and this will greatly enhance more commercial and social opportunities to you!

3D Applications

More to come, as of this day, we are using Google's Lively 3D rooms. Rumour has it that this application will be terminated on the 1st of December 2008, but not to worry, we are always scouting around for new stuff to add on for you.

These 3D applications are great for reaching out to people for both commercial and social objectives. The beauty of these applications is that it gives you the ability to reach out to someone across the globe without even having to leave your premises. Hence our campaign, if you have not heard already was the 'The World Is My Oyster - Make Us your Global Home' punctuates this. Have a coffee from anywhere around the world and meet up with our global community.

So far, we have organised some online get-togethers, so if you are keen, drop us a mailer and join us.

We are also looking to organise or in the process of organising commercial and social events in 2nd Life, another 3D application which allows people to connect from all over the world. Let us know again if you are keen so that we can keep you informed and updated.

For these 3D applications, there is a tendency to use 3D representatives, Avatars, of yourself and you can usually fully customize them where some applications are so sophisticated that they actually allow you to make a replica of you.

GOOGLE HAS OFFICIALLY CLOSED LIVELY 3D ROOMS. THIS APPLICATION IS NO LONGER IN USE.

Password Manager

The extremely sophisticated applications in MYDEALGARAGE.com were individually developed as standalones

 and therefore require a login name and password for each and everyone of them to access.

This would thereby prove to be an inconvenience if a user were to want to access multiple applications at one go.

The Password Manager will allow you to access all applications with just one user name and password with

maximum security and safety.

Blogs

Blogging has been around for sometime and we have actually set up an application for this. Why choose to blog with us or even use any of our current applications? The reason is that our community have similar interests and members of the same kind would also like to get to know you better. It facilitates transparency and develops a certain level of trust even though you may be half way across the world. If you were to blog at another site, what happens? Our members may never get to know you or may not even know that you exist as the internet is so vast! Compare two unknown businesses where one blogs and the other does not. Who will appear more transparent, trustworthy and more likely to win a deal from a third party person who wants to engage in a commercial transaction?

Like the 3D Applications mentioned before, Blogs are usually highly customizable and you have a full array of templates, colors, wordings etc to choose from. You can even get a professional template to be done by a professional to reflect a the true you. Just for your information, we have friends that could help you with this.

How to use Blog? Generally you will set it up at our Blog section and choose a specific template or background in common language. Pictures of yourself or even your company could be uploaded there. You could talk about yourself, sharing your interests and objectives in life. Generally, the more you tell, it gives people the understanding of who you actually are as a person and it is not just a 2 dimensional print on the internet. Professionally, you could also give details about your track record in your work so that others could locate you for your talents.

Most bloggers also talk about issues and other interesting things that happenings their lives. You could update these blogs on a daily basis and even invite other community members to comment and reply. As a corporate blogger, you could talk about your products and services, invite feedback which is quite a crucial to see if an item is marketable, etc. You may even sell your products on the blog.

Chatrooms

Very similar to 3D Applications, chatrooms are a great place to meet up with people with similar interests or even to hold a meeting. We have split our chatrooms up mainly into various sectors mainly for commercial use but we also have some social rooms which you could also use. The difference is that Chatrooms are not so visual as compared to 3D Applications.

Chatrooms have an advantage over 3D Applications where they can be accessed if you have any internet connections and a web browser. It does not require any download of any special software which at most times 3D applications do. They are also free and if you want to communicate with a friend while you are on holidays for a long period of time and the cheap, this is where Chatrooms can come in where you can arrange to meet your friend in one at MYDEALGARAGE.com

Classifieds

Classifieds are great as you can just leave both your social and business needs and wants with a contact details and wait for it to be fulfilled. You could also add pictures, which is recommended, especially for products you want to showcase. Some people have even left their whole resumes, which is good, for job opportunities. Have a look at our classifieds and use the wisely. Our classifieds are very niche and they basically very good tools to meet your corporate and social objectives. You could also link it to a video which you could download on Videos section. If you have a website, you may also want to display your link so that people could visit it.

Articles

This section is great for the people who have the natural flair for writing. Showcase your skills and talents. You could also post, view and rate articles. Some writers write about the benefits of using their products and as our articles have been mainly split up into industries, you could target a specific sector and write and article about your product or services and post it there. This application has interactivity built in with the community who can also communicate with you via the comments section and also rate your article.

Executive Business Book

An online business networking application to help promote you, your products/services and to help you gather and expand your business 
                         and commercial opportunities. You may also create internal communities, blogs, classifieds, events and much more!

Great place also to post your resume and career outline.

Executive Chirps

A fast and effective micro-blogging application developed for executives to post their latest links, micro-blogs and pictures.

If you want to update your friends and business associates in a fast, short, simple and effective manner this may be

 the application for you. 

Executive Social Book

An online executive social networking session with chats, picture postings, updates and much more for executives to want to expand their social 

network. Most networks only concentrate on the business aspect for executives. With Executive Social Book, you can now also expand your

social  networking items to events, movies, outings, tennis, soccer or more to like minded executives.

Forum

Forum is a great place to have question and answer sessions, gather feedback, invite comments, talk about issues, basically anything that you need an interactive session with other community friends.  Very interactive, unlike chatrooms and 3D applications, it does not need the person to be at a certain location as a certain time to interact. Just leave your statement and wait for community members to reply.

Pictures

The picture section is a great place to showcase your pictures, individuals or corporates. Could also be used to showcase your company's events, foster corporate identity by posting your company members there! YThere are currently two photo main applications now, one which allows uploading and sharing of photos  which we call  Photos and another which we call 'HOT Executives' rates executives on their 'HOT' factor. Great to meet up people for social and business needs also. Please feel free to upload your picture if you feel you are HOT and rate the photos.

Videos

Upload your videos to allow a deeper impression of you or your product and service. Much better than pictures, it gives you the ability to demonstrate things which a picture cannot. You may also use it to educate people of certain features of a product. You may also vote the videos. Be creative to allow more opportunities to come to you.

Shoutbox

Our Shoutbox is located at the bottom of the home page. If you want to say something to the community short, fast and effective, just post here. The Shoutbox acts as our main notice board. You may even sms us the details if you have no internet access and we will do it for you.

  Once having chosen the correct application, please feel free to use it appropriately. Please do not abuse the applications, e.g. spamming etc. We will have to bar any abusive users from using site and the benefits of the site applications cannot be used further.
